This document was prepared as background materials for the SEELS task force members to provide a framework for the identification of research questions and refinement of the SEELS conceptual model. Descriptions of the overall SEELS model, its domains, and potential research questions are included.
The task force is being asked to identify the range of information needs that could potentially be met by SEELS, translate those information needs into research questions, and help to envision a conceptual framework to guide the study in addressing those questions.
Some of the outcomes that SEELS will look at are: presence & participation, accommodation & adaptation, academic & function literacy and personal & social adjustments
Other areas that will be given much attention are: School Programs, School Characteristics & Policies, Non-school Factors, Student, and Household.
